- MASTERpiece
Youth in Ministry
Long ago The Artist began thinking about how your life would look. He has been at work sculpting and chiseling the stuff that needs to be removed. He has been painting his will on the canvas of your life. He has been writing his own verses into the poem of your life. Come and meet The Artist and discover that you are a MASTERpiece. - Missions: How God can use an ordinary person like YOU to do extraordinary things for the Kingdom!
Phil Tatum (Christian Missionary Fellowship)
The next generation of Missions is going to look drastically different than Missions looked even 10 years ago. Missions is no longer just for Bible College graduates who want to live in the bush in Africa. The next wave of missionaries will be businessmen, teachers, nurses, engineers, doctors, social workers who want to use their training in places where traditional missionaries aren’t welcome. Come learn about what God is doing around the world and how you can be involved. - Beyond Your Dreams
Todd Clark (Discovery Christian Church, Simi Valley, CA)
In a prayer, the Danish theologian Soren Kierkegaard once stated, “And now Lord, with your help, I shall become myself.” Pursuing dreams involves risk--abandoning what’s comfortable and sacrificing selfish desires. Yet our own dreams do not scratch the surface of what God has in store for us. Todd will challenge you to pursue infinitely more than you would ever dare to dream by seeking God’s will for your life.

- Tales From the Dark Side
Youth In Ministry
It is not what happens in the spotlight that makes a person a hero. It is what happens in the shadows, the dark places of life that show us who we really are. This workshop will follow the stories of two heroes—one from the movies and one from the Bible—as they attempt to navigate through the dark side of life. Their stories are our stories. - What in the World is Jesus Doing Today?
Greg Pruett (Pioneer Bible Translators)
How many people in the world still have not heard about Jesus? Come hear how God is making followers of Christ around the world among the unreached peoples of the world today and how you can do what Jesus is doing. - Serving Others: What? Now What? Looking Beyond the Obvious
Krista Petty (Carolina Cross Connection)
Doing service projects and taking mission trips are obviously good things to do...but beyond making a difference for others what do they mean for YOU? Did you know that serving with other can make a big difference in your future faith journey? Not a little difference...a HUGE one! Come learn how serving others impacts YOU as well as the people you serve and help us innovate some crazy service projects in this interactive session.

- A Youth Ministry Fairy-Tale
Curtis Booher
A number of questions arise as we attempt to work with a wide variety of individual students in our ministries. How do you help that bashful student to speak out? What do you do with that dopey kid that becomes the target of ridicule? What about the apathetic student that seems to be so sleepy during youth meetings? How do you help grumpy kid with the bad attitude? This workshop will help you find strategies for dealing with these and every other type of personality that you might encounter in working with students. Real strategies for real students because this is no fairy-tale.
Wednesday at 3:30 PM
- Beyond Lecture to Experiential Learning
Curtis Booher (Milligan College)
Research suggests that only 20 percent of the world learns through their ears. If we want the other 80 percent to "get" the Good News, we must teach in more ways than simply auditory. Experiential learning engages all five senses. It tells the story of God with touch, taste, scent, sight, and sound. This workshop will provide a number of practical ideas for using experiential learning. Your students will love you for attending.
Thursday at 2:15 PM
- Modeling Crazy Love for Students
Francis Chan (Cornerstone Church, Simi Valley, CA)
It's what we all want for students—to display counter-cultural character, to fearlessly explore the passions God has given them as they pursue His call in their lives; to live boldly among family and friends; and to have a zeal for the Bride of Christ. Join Francis as he shares his love for students and how you can model these same characteristics as you lead them.
Thursday at 3:45 PM
- Eats with Sinners: Do your students share their faith with their friends?
Arron Chambers (Journey Christian Church, Greeley, CO)
Are you looking for an evangelistic method that really works? In this workshop Arron will reintroduce you to Christ's primary method for connecting with people: eating with them. You will learn how "eating with sinners" will change your student ministry and the lives of the students with whom your students build meaningful relationships.
